In London

Had a long flight to London. Reached London at 1pmish. We were planning to stay with Tor and Judith. They were kind enough to wait for us at Paddington Station. The Heathrow Express crawled at the last leg to Paddington, the announcement mentioned some speed limitation and traffic conditions.

By the time we reached the station, Tor and Judith had waited a fair while for us. They looked as good as they did in Singapore. Their place was a short pleasant walk from Paddington. We walked past an area called Little Venice and it was simply beautiful. The weather was warm but much more pleasant than Dubai.

They had a beautiful place. Had stayed there for a year and even though the building’s old, the interior had been renovated. They had a spacious apartment. We had a room to ourselves and a bathroom just next to it. We had some time to ourselves as they both needed to spend part of their Sunday working.

After settling in, we walked around little Venice. Had a snack at Rouge, had very good mussels while Ross had chocolate cake.
I had a nap to recover the jet lag. At 8, we had dinner, pizza with Tor and Judith. They were great company and made us felt right at home.
